"After reading the online reviews, I was understandably leery of going there this morning. But I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was super friendly and they took great care of my injury. I had a pretty nasty cut to my finger and was in a decent amount of pain. I'm also not the easiest person to numb. Everyone was super understanding and took great care to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be. The PA-C who stitched me up was very patient and stopped every time I felt the slightest bit of pain."

"I recommend this hospital and ER. I have experience with other hospitals at GlendaleAnd I believe waiting time is enough for patient to get well and go home. I never been at waiting room at saint Joseph more than 30 min and also I had 2 surgery’s, just I can say all staff doing great job. Friendly caring and nice🙏"

"Fine experience getting medical help - but do avoid Connie if you can - ask for someone else. Make sure your triage notes are articulated correctly from shift to shift - otherwise the wrong conclusions will get communicated to the DR at shift change"

"Aside from the crazy long wait that’s required, the nurses are working here because they care. When all else fails this ER is here, and you won’t leave without something to help. We have to support our health workers, as they do what they can to support us when they are seeing us. They sacrificed to study to put their lives up front to help us around all types of sickness and disease, and I think that deserves much credit. I was there for over 5 hours today believe me I don’t have the most patience, there’s always room for improvement anywhere with anything, but looking at the bigger picture, they come through and I am thankful for that. I give 5 stars for the nurses doctors & all employees there. Also want to thank Kristine who helped me today on 12/22/21, she is so nice and deserves recognition for her skills, kindness, and patience. Thank you!"

"I don't understand what it is about urologists that makes them think that talking down to patients and berating them is the best course of action. Every answer I gave the Dr was either scoffed at or dismissed entirely. I was even laughed at when i responded to an attack on my psyche. The rest of the staff is incredible. The hospital is great, the floor nurses are amazing, and the ER staff does everything they can to help, even when completely overwhelmed. I will happily keep using this hospital and its ER, I just hope that maybe the urologists can gain some of their humanity back and treat people as people."

"I broke my wrist in a pickle ball turnament and don't have any insurance. I didn't know where to go but I wasn't far from this emergency Room and I ended up their. They have free valet per parking for the emergency Room I guess they take people in on some kind of urgency basis they knew I was in pain. The doctor called me in within 15 minutes I had my x-rays done within about 25 they put me in a separate bed and send someone over to help me fill out the forms for charity care and I could not believe how helpful every single person was! Even the people that were not directly helping me that work there were super nice. I got a cast and a prescription for pain killers. They set up my appointment with the orthopedist for the next day. I can't believe and I'll say it again I really can't believe how awesome this place was. Super efficient helpful and comfortable and fast! I'm definitely taking anybody there are telling anybody they go there if they have an emergency this was in the middle of the day it wasn't even there for an hour and a 1/2. If you can go there and definitely never go to Van nuys hospital emergency Room"

"Waited 5 1/2 hour in the ER to get a bed in the main hospital. I asked the head nurse Lauren, when will my mother was going to be transferred and her response was short and full of attitude. The last thing a patient or a member of her family need in a hospital is attitude. Worrying about your loves is enough. The rest of the staff were nice."

"If you need a fast and better action of an ER, I highly recommend Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. All the staff here are all attentive, and they gave every one a big smile and cared too much of all their patient. They are not just checking you up and throw you lots of medicine but instead they are listening to your case. They help me in all the way that they can help to afford my bill through my insurance. Providence Saint Joseph is right beside you."

"Waited only 30 mins. Was taken great care of. Was given a lunch back sandwich lays child's and juice. Was in ICU for 4days got my own room down stairs because they were able to stabilize me. Staff was very upbeat fun and extremely caringEven at 1am"

"I had to walk in to the Providence Emergency Room this week after 4pm. Upon first sight of how many people were in the lobby, expected to be there into the wee hours of the morning, and possibly deal with some overworked, and angry staff. To my pleasant surprise, every single person I dealt with - reception, intake, nurses, doctors, X ray department, transport (wheel chair drivers who should have tip jars), and even most of the other patients I spoke with during my minimal 3 hour stay there, were exceptionally kind, professional, and as friendly as they could be on such a busy shift. The care I received was top notch. My nurse was very nice, and didn't bruise me up when applying the IV, like many others have in the past. It also didn't hurt that the ER Doctor who handled my case looked very much like Thomas F. Wilson (maybe "Biff" has a medical degree???). I would instantly recommend Providence ER to any of my friends who may ever need their services."

The full week stay was less stressful with the great service of all the RN’s, Respiratory Therapist, Nursing assistants and Doctors. I am very satisfied with their care. "I have been using Providence St. Joseph Medical Center (Hospital) for all my medical needs for the past 15 years. I must say I've never had a bad experience... The Nurses/Doctors and medical assistance have been friendly, helpful and most of all knowledgeable. I highly recommend if you need a ER, go to St. Joseph. Thank you to the St. Joe's staff."
