"Nobody is at their best while traveling or visiting the ER, they have the same vibe. Everybody is anxious, uncomfortable and wants to be anywhere else. Every staff I encountered is doing their very best and juggling a huge workload. There are dealing with a lot, and often the other patients aren’t so logical or reasonable. Was it disorganized and a bit stressful there? Sure, but honestly show me a hospital that isn’t understaffed and gets you in and out in 30 minutes. I felt cared for and understood while interacting with staff, even if I waited a while. Once I was seen my problem was fixed knowledgeably."

"I called for help and the nurse I spoke to was SO HELPFUL. She took her time to explain what I should do to help myself & said I can call back if I need anymore help. Very refreshing!Nurses deal with a lot of bs from everyone so, the fact that she was extremely nice made me feel great!"

"I came in on a Wednesday after having SEVERE Abdominal PAIN. I was immediately sent inside however I did not get attended until almost 2 hours later. The two exams that were done were a urine test and a blood test. I was discharged 3 hours later and had to come back the next day because the pain was way worse. I waited another 9 hours for an X-ray. Follow by an ultrasound. No pain medication was given, I would not recommend the emergency room they didn’t follow the correct procedure which could’ve prevented the pain from escalating! I can say I was given great service on the 6th floor."

"Going to the emergency room is never a positive experience, but I have to applaud the staff at Woodhull for making it as pleasant as possible. I came in after slicing two fingers open while cooking and was noticeably distraught (I didn’t know blood made me squeamish and found out the hard way). Every single person from the intake person to the physician’s assistant to the gentleman mopping the floors was incredibly courteous, kind, and comforting. I especially want to give a shout-out to the triage nurse who managed to make me laugh while cleaning me up and took the time to learn my boyfriend’s name. It may seem small, but since he couldn’t go back with me due to COVID precautions, it really made us feel safe and like I was in the hands of caring people. I was a huge baby while getting my stitches, but the physician’s assistant and nurse did an incredible job of remaining calm. Additionally, everything was incredibly speedy for an ER; I never felt like I was waiting that long. I hope I don’t have to make an emergency room visit again, but if I do, I want the heroes at Woodhull taking care of me."

"The er and waiting area was really nice clean and quiet. There were a few very exceptional nurse's doctors, and other staff.... They were friendly, polite, and informative. The only thing is the speed which was surprisingly offset by how pleasant the staff was...."
