"My son was transferred to Kindred Rehab under the care of Dr Hourani. I was unfamiliar with both the facility and the doctor but I soon learned how fortunate we were. Besides being a skilled doctor, Dr Hourani is a very committed take charge man. My son had several medical issues and the doctor assembled a team of specialists who contributed to his care, but he was the captain and he kept me informed. I felt that he treated both the patient and the family. Dr Hourani was almost like a family member given his commitment. I am blessed that he is part of my son’s rehabilitation. Thank you!"

"I would love to give my doctor,Dr Hourani 20 stars,I know the maximum is 5 however he really helped me heal and recover.I came to the hospital with a devastating respiratory illness,thought I was going to die.He visited me every single day,talked to me about my medications and lab test,he always reminded me to do my therapy and take my breathing treatments from the Respiratory therapists .He gave me hope . I am alive and well,thanks to him.I am also back home with my family."

"Our relative spent four months at Kindred Hospital and received quality care. We were updated continuously on his condition, progress and next steps. The staff was exceptional in communication and assistance in alleviating many of our concerns. I would recommend this facility for persons who are in need of the extras of care.An improvement that can be made is to have selected external doctors increase updates, feedback and interaction with the family more frequently.Overall, Kindred is recommended by the Duell family."

"My mother checked in on life support made an incredible transformation off the trachea tube in one month after being in the facility. She was only fluids and couldn’t walk she left eating full meals and walking with her walker alone. She still has ways to go but they definitely did there job and more they have great doctors and rehabilitation instructors and they were very kind but vigilant with my mothers rehab process. Dr Hourani was a great doctor, she told me to make sure I mention him lol. Also the RT doctors were great Jocelyn, Candice and Jeff. Rehab doctors Helen and the pregnant Lady I can’t remember her name but they were great thank you so much ."

"My aunt was a recent patient at this hospital. She was on a breathing machine. Dr Hourani cared for her and she is now able to breathe on her own and she is back at home with us . "On Feb.24th 2021 it was a year I had left Kindred.I went there after suffering and beating double pneumonia for my rehab.I wasn’t in good spirits not knowing how things were going to go.After meeting my nurses and the physical therapist I still wasn’t convinced on how I was going to turn out.So the journey began.First I have to give all of me respect to the nurses.They are good at what they do.I was a very independent person and having to depend on someone else to help me was hard to swallow at first but I knew I had to swallow my pride and do what I needed to do.Nurse Randel was an Android sent.From the first time I met him to when I left made my journey as comfortable as possible.He even checked on me when I wasn’t his patient to make sure I was doing ok.The talks we had I will never forget.I will always be grateful for him.And now to the Physical Therapist.Scott was there to get me going along with Doug.They had a chore on their hands.They worked with me every day to get me out of bed to at least stand for a few seconds.Physically I was temporarily broken but I had Minji in my ear letting me know that I will walk again feed myself again and other things.I can go on forever but I just wanted to let theses people know how much they mean to me and I will never forget what they did for me.One other person who was there for me is Lana.She taught me a lot more about myself that I thought I knew.I will forever be grateful for these people that God put in my life.And if Dr.Winters reads this I want to thank him also along with Dr.Weintraub.I will always recommend this staff to anybody.also my respiratory therapist were awesome.I wish I could remember their names."

"Our overall experience was very positive. Some really phenomenal people work at Kindred hospital. A few of the really great people are Susana, the BEST CNA who always made sure my dad was clean and would talk to him with dignity and respect.Nurses Viana and Dorothy who would not only do a great job taking care of my father but were always attentive and made sure we as a family understood his care.Stephanie who helped with the administrative side of my fathers care. If ever there were any issues she would ensure they were one time occurrences. When we were unable to visit in person she facilitated video chats.Last but not least Dr. Hourani who kept his positivity and kept treating my father even though he arrived here in very severe condition.I cannot stress this enough my father went from on a vent and unsure if he would make it to breathing on his own. Although we still have a long road to go we are thankful that at Kindred he has recuperated so well."

"Dr. Hourani was an excellent doctor. He composed a team of doctors to work on me and my case. As the Chief of Staff for the hospital he was able to get right on any problems and work to get them resolved as soon as possible! There were some problems that were out of his control having to do with individual workers not doing their jobs. Mosty on the overnight staff. Other than that this is an excellent place to start your long-term healing once you leave the acutecare hospital."

"I've been a patient since 12/11/20 and wood highly recommend Kindred Hospital - Los Angles to anyone having pulmonary issues. The staff was great & attended to my needs. Dr. Huronai was wonderful. During my stay of almost two months, Dr. Hourani was there everyday. He was easy to talk to and was atentative to my needs. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Hourani who in fact, with the grace of God by his side, saved my life when I removed my tracheotomy and coded. The most I can say is the places is wonderful and happy to say today I am leaving Kindred Hospital tracheotomy free."

"The level of care from Dr Hourani,Dr Deutsch and Dr Stanniloff. Also nurses and therapist has been very good as well as case manager Kevin.It can be a difficult time when a loved one requires care and finding a good facility can be daunting. "My wife has been under the care of Dr. Hourani at Kindred Hospital Los Angeles since late last year. Dr.Hourani and the entire staff at Kindred Los Angeles are very motivated and aggressive in ventilator weaning protocol and my wife has progressed much further there than she has at any other hospital. Every medical specialty that my wife has needed is on staff and always available. The Director of Respiratory Therapy and the Director of Nursing have always been available to me if I have questions. The Nurses and Therapists are wonderful and very caring. If you have a loved one who is seriously ill and needs specialized care, I can highly recommend Kindred Hospital Los Angeles."

"There are no words to express our experience. My brother-in-law came to Kindred on a ventilator and unable to respond. I’ve had him for years he knows my system and what to do and how to take care of. I’ve had other doctors in the past but none can compare to what he can do and what he does medically.
